Athenian Riviera runs the southwest part counting from Floisvos to Sounio 70km.
The east coastline runs from Lavrio port to Marathon town another 90km.
Sometimes -depending on the occasion- we may prefer a well-organized modern sandy beach, with warm shallow waters, umbrellas, beach loungers, showers, bars, taverns, music, lifeguard, speedboats, canoes, jet ski, surfing school and other water sports.
Some other times we may choose a quiet, remote (almost private) beach, with sand or pebbles, shallow or deep waters, by the bottom of a high rock, where we lie on a towel reading a book, chewing fresh fruit and sipping up refreshments we brought along.
There may be times we prefer a “five-star” beach in front of a luxurious hotel, where we may relax and enjoy first class service. Then again, there are times we just drive along the seaside; stop anywhere we want and jump like children from rock to rock before we dive into the cool waters, then get back in the car, wet as we are, only to drive to the next swimming spot…
Along the coastline of Attica and the Saronicos’ islands it is possible for you to experience part or all of the above. You may even stay up all night by the seaside, have dinner and go clubbing until dawn or if you spend the night at one of Attica’s beach hotels, make sure you go swimming first thing in the morning, before returning to the hassle and bustle of city life.
Beaches of Attica are magnificent, either private or not. Many of them are awarded the “Blue Flag”. To be honest, we are not able to distinguish between them or suggest the one over the other. We are equally fond of them all!
