A new Toy Factory is opening its gates in the center of Athens
on 6th of December in Technopolis, Gazi
"The Christmas Factory", the largest and fairiest Christmas festival, is taking place this year in "Technopolis" of the city of Athens!
It’s the biggest Christmas event that will welcome and bring joy to children and adults in the most spectacular toy factory that has ever been built!
"The Christmas Factory" event spreads over an area of more than 25,000 m2 and is destined to become the biggest attraction this Christmas.
Santa Claus and his cheerful elves will welcome all guests with open arms and seasonal cheers at the fabulous Christmas Toy Factory every day from 6th of December to 6th of January.
In a specially designed Christmas environment, all visitors big and small will enjoy the Christmas Market housed in enchanting traditional wooden huts bursting with a great variety of everything that you could wish for.
To create a magical seasonal atmosphere, 500 decorated natural pine trees will be placed around Technopolis. At the end of the event, all the pine trees will be replanted at specially selected environmental forestation areas.
From 10 in the morning until 10 in the evening, guests will join for the first time, the Santa Claus’ preparations for the manufacturing and distribution of the presents for the children of the world.
However, it is not only the Santa Claus factories that make "The Christmas Factory" unique.
A Grand Carousel will dominate Technopolis along with an impressive Christmas wheel, an eco-roller coaster that will transport guests around, children’s theatrical performances, concerts, choirs, street performances, unique ice skating, interactive workshops and many activities that will capture kids attention and imagination.
"The Christmas Factory" will also host a variety of educational exhibitions:
Kostas Kotsanas will present his excellent collection which features exhibits of ancient Greek technology, for the first time in Athens. The "Museum of ancient Greek technology" will present dozens of functional replicas of inventions of ancient Greek civilization, many of them with interactive character.
Another excellent exhibition is the collection of traditional toys of Nina Karakosta which consists of 3,000 originals and copies of toys from all over the world.
Your guides for both exhibitions will be their own creators, Mss K. Kotsanas and N. Karakosta.

Christmas is the biggest celebration of pure love and Santa Claus is asking his little friends to bring their old toys, old books or clothes to The Christmas Factory. They’ll be distributed to children in need, so that all kids will be touched by the magic of Christmas.
