May Day at Stavros Niarchos Park

May Day at Stavros Niarchos Park

Stavros Niarchos Park awaits you all on May Day to celebrate spring with music, dancing and other activities!
The entrance to all the activities and events will be free.

Music
The Burger Project and the Jaguar Bombs are coming to the Great Lawn to welcome springtime together, in a blistering live concert! Performing children’s songs and funny stories, the Burger Project invite the audience to dance their hearts out, and the Jaguar Bombs, inspired by the aesthetics of rockabilly, cover timeless tunes that have been on everyone’s lips, augmented by songs that make up the soundtrack of our teenage parties.

Dance
An explosive Afro-Brazilian dance lab and an introduction course to the art of capoeira are coming to SNFCC to liberate your self-expression and lift your spirits through the rich traditions of Brazilian culture.

May Day activities
Join us to make your own scented paper flower wreath of May and enjoy a bubblicious parade in a joyous and festive mood on May Day at Stavros Niarchos Park.

Workshops & Games for kids
In the blooming Stavros Niarchos Park, a serie of workshops, games and group activities invite the kids to explore the Park, encouraging cooperation and a spirit of fair play, and participate in a picnic for chartographers. Our beloved face painters are back to Stavros Niarchos Park for May Day to put color and joy on the faces of children!

A Walk in the Park
The new series of guided tours will make you see the landscape in a different way. Guided by artists, visitors will enjoy a walk in which nature, history, poetry and personal storytelling make for a different experience each time. In May the guide will be the actor Michalis Syriopoulos.
