SOUNDS OF ANCIENT LYRE at the National Archaelogical Museum
Every Tuesday in October 2014, the National Archaeological Museum of Athens invites its visitors to attend a unique musical performance, hosted in hall 25 of the Sculpture Collection. Dr. Nikos Xanthoulis, musician and researcher of the ancient Greek lyre, will perform original compositions of ancient Greek music (Euripides, Seikilos, Mesomedes et al.) with his lyre, a reconstruction of the ancient instrument. During his performance, he will gladly answer every possible question about ancient Greek instruments and original ancient Greek music in Greek, English, French, Russian and Italian.
Information material in Greek and English will be given to the visitors that will attend the performance.
