Foundation of awarded director Michael Cacoyannis is a cultural centre of the Performing Acts, particularly theatre and cinema. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center is a multifunctional and environmentally sustainable education, arts, and recreation complex/destination comprised of the 170,000m2 (42 acre) Stavros Niarchos Park, and new, state-of-the-art facilities for the National Library of Greece (NLG) and the Greek National Opera (GNO). The SNFCC will be completed in 2015 you can visit though the work in-progress by Visitors Centre.
The Visitors Center is a light temporary structure, which will operate until the SNFCC’s completion at the end of 2015. It will offer the public the opportunity to visit the construction site, learn about the structure and familiarize visitors with the vision and mission of the SNFCC. The Visitors Center will also offer a “snapshot” of what is to come at the SNFCC through exhibitions and activities for adults and younger generations.
The Visitors Center hosts a permanent exhibition providing information on the three main components comprising the SNFCC.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) offers all interested parties the opportunity to visit the project’s construction site. Guided tours will be given by SNFCC associates, who will provide information on the development of one of the most important and complex construction projects ever undertaken in Greece.
SCHEDULE OF VISITS:
Visits will take place every second Thursday at 11:00 AM. Tours will begin at 10:30 AM, with a short tour of the Visitors Center. Participants will then get on board a bus for a guided tour of the construction site.
The first guided tour will take place on Thursday, October 10th, 2013.
