POLIS GRAND HOTEL

General Info

Polis Grand Hotel is a 4-star hotel with 100 rooms and 2 restaurants well situated at the heart of the historical and commercial center of Athens. Since 1975 it has been consistently presetting the visitors of Athens city with the Greek philoxenia spirit. It has been fully renovated in 2004 whereas; at the beginning of 2015 it went once more through a stylish retouch of its rooms and services as well as its white exterior.
More precisely, interventions took place in the rooms where new floors had been installed, renovated the marble bathrooms and fitted new elegant glass shower booths. Additionally new air conditioning system was set up and reinforced the internal doors. Simultaneously, all door locks were replaced with new electronic touch locks.

Two new room categories were designed and realized. The first category includes 8 pairs of “Connecting” rooms with a connecting door for families. The second category of rooms have a different decoration and privileged services such as coffee station, luxury linens, large led TV 32 ‘, upgraded toilet amenities and many other details.

The changes were not limited to the rooms but also took place within the public areas were heat pumps were installed at the corridors. The exterior of the hotel was renewed by painting all facades of the building, introduction of new exterior lighting with low-power consumption technology LED and replacing the balcony partition panels with new glass.

The hotel can accommodate small conferences, private and business functions as well as weddings and meetings up to 150 participants. There is also a Mini gym with free access for all guests and a large collection of artwork to be admired all around the communal areas.

Polis experience

The day starts early in the morning with invigorating exercise at the Mini gym. Immediately after a revelation of aromas and flavors from all over Greece awaits at the certified with “Greek Breakfast” morning buffet. Lavish breakfast with authentic Greek dishes and delicious homemade delicacies such as traditional pies, homemade jams from fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, Cretan dakos , Greek coffee brewed on hot sand and much more.

Noon arrives in Polis Life eat & drink café with delicious choices for a quick snack, a fresh salad or a full meal accompanied by a glass of fine wine. Lunchtime is renowned with a sweet. Sweet- smelling walnut cake with ice cream, chocolate cake and other sweet creations that satisfy the most demanding pastry lovers.

As the day grows so do the choices for a quality break at Polis Grand Hotel. Guests can wander and discover unique works of art in all public areas, read a book from the library or play a game of chess at the chess corner.

The collection includes a total of over 15 original masterpieces by Greek artists who represent the modern Greek creative thinking and many original fixtures and furnishings from the period of the 60s and Pop Art that have been restored.
