Chef of the Year award for Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis, Restaurant Manager of the Year award for maître Michalis Ladas and FNL stars for GB Roof Garden & Tudor Hall During a glittering evening ceremony, which took place on Monday May 15th at the Athens Conservatoire, FNL Guide handed out its awards to the country’s best restaurants including 16 special awards and 204 restaurants all over Greece.
The unique distinction of the Chef of the Year was awarded to Executive Chef of Hotels Grande Bretagne & King George Asterios Koustoudis, recognizing his top-notch talent and contribution to the culinary scene of Greece. The special award of the Restaurant Manager of the Year was given to Michalis Ladas, maître of Tudor Hall restaurant, highlighting his contribution to the catering history of Athens and his 35-year career in top restaurants. GB Roof Garden Restaurant with talented Chef de Cuisine Nikos Liokas has received one star for its Modern International Cuisine while Tudor Hall Restaurant with charismatic Chef de Cuisine Nikos Leivadias retains its two stars for one more year in International Fine Dining category.
These important distinctions come as a recognition of the vision, dedication and professionalism of a “close-knit” kitchen and service team, which promotes Greek gastronomy to a wide and international audience and rightfully bears the title of “leader” in the catering sector.
