Athens Riviera is called the coastal area of Athens-Attica, a 60km route by the sea; a magnificent terrace of city of Athens to the Saronic Gulf.  Athens Riviera forms a separate and an interesting area ideal for leisure, entertainment, active and business travel.
Throughout the route operate dozens of charming and modern hotel units. You can find a big variety of all kind of hotel categories; 3, 4, 5 stars hotels, boutique hotels, small and large luxurious resorts and many fully equipped marinas.
Athens Riviera is delimited from Floisvos – at the end of Syggrou Avenue – to Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon. ( We should notice that Sounio area has been declared National Park and a protected zone due to archaeological and environmental value).
 

    
ACCESS

Athens Riviera has easy access to Piraeus Port and Lavrio Port, to Athens city-centre and to Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” via Vari-Koropi avenue (the distance to the Airport varies of the location and ranges from 5 to 30km).
The distance from Sounio hotel units – mostly resorts – to Athens International Airport is 40km. The small city of Lavrio – former industrial area – is just 10km away.     
Athens Riviera can be accessed by private car, TAXI, buses and TRAM line.

Conference – Exhibition Centres
 

  •      Faliro Exhibition Centre

At the gate of Athens Riviera is Faliro Exhibition Centre. Formerly the Olympic venue of Taekwondo operates now as an exhibition centre.  This specific area can function as an important hub with touristic, commercial, cultural and athletic interest. The multi-dimensional character and the great potential of the area have attracted the interest of investors. State and City authorities and Greek tourism market share the same goal for the area, the creation of the Athens Metropolitan Convention & Exhibition Centre.      
 

  •      Elliniko

Many commercial exhibitions are hosted every year at Elliniko complex
 (former Olympic games complex and also former airport). In a total surface of 170 acres has 15.000sq.m accommodated exhibition space ( www.etasa.gr ) Elliniko complex also has attracted investors interest. In a close distance you can find the Golf Court of Glyfada.  
 

  •      Technological Park – Lavrio

A bit far away but also at the coastal zone, is the city of Lavrio (85km). The former industrial area is rapidly transformed into a modern coastal city due to the fully renovated harbour and the new Olympic marina. The Technological Park operates as a multiple complex of research, education and culture. AREA CHARACTERISTICS – SIGHTS – MARKETS – SPORTS

Athens Riviera offers to guests various choices on restaurants, shopping malls (mostly at Glyfada area), entertainment. A selection of exquisite restaurants can be found throughout the coastal zone from small seaside taverns, luxurious restaurants, awarded chefs, bars, clubs, even “bouzoukia”. Many well-known and popular restaurants operate into hotel premises that can ensure for a successful event, a business lunch, dinner, cocktail etc. during a business meeting or convention. Athens Riviera is the queen of nightlife, especially during the summer.     

Marinas ( Floisvos, Alimos, Glyfada ) can also be an interesting scenery for strolls, leisure, entertainment, shopping, activities. Sailing schools, diving schools and yacht rental agencies operate near the marinas. You can easily fit a small cruise or a sailing trip to the nearby islands during a conference or a meeting for guests and participants.

For the swim lovers an ideal choice around the year is the Lake of Vouliagmeni. A rare geophysical formation of a cave and lake near the sea which creates an ambient scenery for relaxation and swimming. Its water maintains a constant 21-27 degrees Celsius temperature year round and functions as a thermal spa. There are cosy facilities for guests, parking area and a small café.
