SYNGROU AREA – PIRAEUS

Syngrou avenue connects Athens’ city centre with Piraeus and the south suburbs. Andianos Gate “works” both ways as a gate to the city centre and also as a gate to Syngrou avenue which is the city’s exit to the sea. Is a highway with 4 lanes for each direction and it’s only 5 km long but has many sideways and underpasses for the public. Syngrou avenue is an interesting commercial, business and cultural centre. Many international hotel brands operate in the area (Intercontinental, Marriott, Metropolitan), international companies house their offices, the new National Museum of Contemporary Art is constructed, the Cultural Centre “Stegi” of Onassis Foundation operates there, also Planetarium of Eugenides Foundation and Onassis Cardiac Surgery Centre. The Syngrou Avenue complex will be at its best in 2015 when the new Opera House, the new National Library and a metropolitan park area will be completed, funded by Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

ACCESS – TRANSPORT

Syngrou avenue is a main road of Athens (connecting city centre with the coastal area) thus the access is easy by private cars, Taxis, busses, TRAM and METRO line (up to Syngrou-Fix metro station). Syngrou avenue leads both to Athens Riviera and Piraeus Port (the biggest in the country).

With total surface 1.700sq.m can host up to 600 conference participants. Allocates functional spaces with technological efficiency designed by the famous Italian architect Mario Botta.

  •     Planetarium – Eugenides Foundation

High quality multiplex with hosting capacity of 400 conference participants. Mostly organises Greek and International scientific and professional  congresses.   •      Stegi – Onassis Cultural Centre

Multiple spaces and halls form a total of internal surface of 18.000sq.m which are spread over 7 floors and 9 underground levels.   •      O.L.P. – Exhibition Centre

Exhibition centre of Piraeus Port Organisation is one of the most well-known and efficient exhibition centres of Attica basin with hundreds of national and international fairs on its history. Various indoor spaces with total surface over 10.000sq.m and 700 parking lots is consisted as a reliable choice in Piraeus area (next to the commercial port and the cruise-boats premises).   •      S.E.F. Stadium – Exhibition Centre

S.E.F. Stadium ( aka Piece and Friendship Stadium) allocates spacious areas for quality professional and commercial exhibitions.
